FROM THE DESK OF THE PRINCIPAL.....

I find it absolutely amazing that it is the middle of April already and we are in the final quarter of the school year. With only 8 weeks left in the school year it is going to be a very busy few months at NWMS. If you did not attend Parent/Teacher conferences on Thursday or Friday your child should have brought home their report card today (Monday, April 20th). Should you have any questions about your child's grades please contact the teacher directly to discuss your concerns. As the school year winds down I want to remind parents to please be sure to visit the NWMS website for latest news and detailed schedules about upcoming events. Also, be sure to keep up with your child's progress through our parents Home Access, where you can check grades and homework. Finally, I want to thank all parents who helped to support our Mini-Relay for Life that was held the past few weeks at NWMS and culminated with a fun day of activities for our students last Thursday. As a result of the outstanding efforts of our students and support by our families the Northwood Middle School Student Council raised almost $5,000 for Cancer! This is an amazing accomplishment, especially during these tough economic times! Thanks for all of your amazing support! Educationally Yours -

Jake Wakitsch
